Nathaniel Sims (1794-1868) - Location History

 

Nathaniel Sims was born and raised in Wake County, North Carolina.  Wake County was created 1771 from Cumberland County, Orange County, and Johnston County.  This county was named for Margaret Wake, the wife of British colonial governor William Tryon.
