Hyette Glen Sims (1906-1982) - Location History
Hyette Glen Sims settled in Lenoir City, Tennessee during the 1950's. He purchased approximately 2 acres of land on Gentry Drive and placed a mobile home on this property. He lived there until his death in 1982.
Lenoir City is located in Loudon County, 21 miles southwest of Knoxville, Tennessee. Lenoir City was established in 1840. The official incorporation of the city took place in 1907. The area was named in honor of General William Lenoir, who, along with his son, was instrumental in building and operating one of the initial cotton mills in the South.
