Charles Glen Sims (1932-2013) - Location History
Charles Glen Sims spent the latter part of his life living in Lenoir City, Tennessee. He purchased a mobile home and moved it to his father's property on Gentry Drive. In 1982, he bought a house located on Highway 70 and lived there until his death in 2013.
Lenoir City is located in Loudon County, 21 miles southwest of Knoxville, Tennessee. Lenoir City was established in 1840. The official incorporation of the city took place in 1907. The area was named in honor of General William Lenoir, who, along with his son, was instrumental in building and operating one of the initial cotton mills in the South.
