Bertha May Gosnell (1907-2007)

 

Bertha was born in Cabarrus County, NC to Lula Calloway and Jim Gosnell.

 

As a young woman, she was employed at the Cannon Mill in Cabarrus County, NC.

 

Bertha was a woman of faith and attended Friendship Baptist Church in Lenoir City, TN.

 

After the death of her husband, Hyette Glen Sims, in 1982, she moved in with her son and his family.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Lenoir City, TN with her only child, Charles Glen Sims, by her side.  She was 100 years old.
